Holidays... Character Development

I found the work we did on both tues and thurs was very helpful in developing our character. The 'hot seat' in the round activity was particularily beneficial!

As i was the first to go up i didnt know what to expect but i really enjoyed experimenting with my character. The only challenge that i see myself facing is trying to steer away from being MYSELF but i know i can overcome this...

Soo far i know that my character....

  • does ballet
  • loves horses
  • has a boy friend
  • wants to gain back the relationship she used to have with her best friend
  • is a happy strong character
  • is satisfied with her body image

I found some of these web sites useful in understanding how people cope with their close freinds having anorexia

I really like my character i cant wait until we start blocking!!

Hey. I read the comment you left me, and I just want to say that I really didn't mean to sound so angry and I didn't mean to attack people either. It's just you seemed REALLY angry/defensive in your comment because of what I wrote, and I don't want you to think that I'm really that much of a bitch.

Ally.

Hey Adele,
Your blog is up to date and a good log of your process. Continue to develop your character with a variety of options and experimentation. Get images, maybe of extremely skinny people and their not so skinny friends, healthy friends.
It is important that your character has dimensions, not just happy. really explore some other options. Articulate the physicality of your character and try to put it into words as this will be needed in your report.
Also try to hightlight your strenghths and weaknesses and how you overcome or develop them.
keep it going
Ms Mace
